The Indian Naval Ship (INS) SATPURA 🚢 arrived at the Port of Colombo for replenishment enabling operational turnaround.
The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in compliance with time-honoured naval traditions.

INS SATPURA is a 142.5m long Frigate which is manned by a crew of 403. Meanwhile, the ship is commanded by Captain Vikas Garg.
During their stay in Sri Lanka, the crew will engage in sightseeing tours across the country.

Minister of Transport Bimal Rathnayake says the government plans to recruit 450 drivers and 300 conductors to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), including female staff. “We have even designed the uniform at air hostess level.
