@rumonblack I've noticed that those points you made there is alot of it out there. Those are turn offs for me in which I won't even allow it in my fanfic writings. I dunno why it's been trending so much. Whatever happened to cuddles or just admiring SO body or fluffy smut? lol

2nd gag ALSO uses a sign + the main joke is the kind of thing Tex Avery could've pulled off at his peak.

Jones' "Duck Amuck" is one of the greatest meta cartoons of all time, but I generally prefer my RR shorts fully committed instead of winking & commenting on itself.

Even though there was no pretense thst these were used in actual cartoons (they were signed/numbered editions), the early ones were all wordless & then at a certain point he decided he'd rather write dialogue onto them.

Clearly, the appeal of pure worldlessness wore off

Even though this boulder & spring gag isn't re-inventing the wheel or anything, I really do appreciate the staging of it all here, the POV shots through the spring and then him being trapped down inside the spring itself under the boulder at the end is all really nicely done
