MHL interns take measurements of the 1st all-steel metal pleasurecraft, the Aha. Built in 1891 by inventor Ephraim Shay, students will work with the Harbor Springs Historical Society to examine this unique vessel's history, design, stability, and maneuverability. #umichengin
Caught a test run on the @MarineHydroLab live feed! Watching lab experiments of a juvenile dogfish model from my couch. What a time to be alive. 😂 They'll need to let the waves damp down again, but then it'll be time for another run! Watch here: https://t.co/Uq6nsa900n
Tomorrow morning, tune into the MHL live feed to watch a ME450 team test their juvenile dogfish model in the tank and to examine drag increase due to proposed tracking tags. Tune in between 8:30 AM-12 PM.

At the ROV competition on Saturday, teams will inspect sectors of these big underwater “cables” for damage such as cracking, corrosion, and bio-infestations. At our testing today, we have “blank” cables so students can practice their inspection procedures.
Today's a great day to check out our live stream @MarineHydroLab. Watch ENG100-600 classes test their underwater ROVs in the tank! https://t.co/RiNyo2tCYU
Watch our livestream today until 2:30 pm of the Wind Wave Tank during NA492 Added Mass & Damping lab class. A simulated section of a ship's hull is forced to oscillate in the tank while instruments measure the motion, force and waves created. https://t.co/lDYuR6fRVg
Watch our livestream from 3-4PM to see Intro to Oceanography class using the Wind Wave Tank to learn about the physics of water waves. https://t.co/lDYuR6fRVg
Check out this 14 hour time-lapse of our computer numerical control (CNC) machine at the @MarineHydroLab creating a model hull for the @michiganHPS team to test in the tow tank.
Watch our live feed at the @MarineHydroLab! Over the next few days, the CNC machine will be creating models hulls for the @michiganHPS team to use for tank testings. https://t.co/1L6UxtAAxw
Time lapse of Team The Krillers deploying their ROV today. The PVC pipe frame has holes drilled in it so the frame can be flooded with water. Once the ROV is in the water, the team moves the ROV around to help the air escape the frame.
