⚡Electrification will dominate the new phase of global #energytransition. The share of #electricity in global final energy consumption would rise from around 23% today to 35% in 2035, & above 50% in 2050—making electricity the dominant energy carrier in the global energy system. In his first term, President Trump was constrained.
This term, he has surrounded himself with people whose chief qualification is fealty. The result is reckless policy and the brazen pursuit of enrichment.
My take:

#BREAKING 🇲🇽 Mexico’s economy is not delivering the growth that was expected for 2026.
What we are seeing is a structural loss of momentum: weak job creation, stagnant domestic demand, rising inflation, and a persistent contraction in investment. This is a shift in the operating environment for companies.
📉 The data tells the story:
• Economic activity: +0.5% YoY
• Investment: -2.2%
• Construction: -8.0%
• Formal employment: +1.16%
• Inflation: 4.59%
• Trade deficit: +95.1%
For companies operating in Mexico, the margin for error has disappeared. The next decisions will define who adapts—and who doesn’t.
⚠️ The rules are changing:
• Profitability over volume
• Liquidity as a strategic priority
• Demand-driven operations
• More selective commercial strategy
• Differentiation over price competition
This is not a moment for expansion at any cost. It’s a moment for discipline, positioning, and strategic clarity.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.
@CILA @GobChihZN@gobcoahuila
Mexico and the US have agreed to revise a 1944 water-sharing treaty, shifting Mexico’s five-year quota to fixed annual deliveries of more than 400 million cubic metres of water to the US.
Al Jazeera’s John Holman reports.
It was inspiring to watch the Artemis II launch yesterday — @NASA’s first crewed mission around the moon since 1972. Our space program has always captured an essential part of what it means to reach beyond what we thought was possible, and I hope the four brave astronauts on this mission will inspire a new generation to follow in their footsteps.
