This InfoWars intercession by "X" is the deciding factor for me - Elon has asserted that all your content is his if he wants it. What incentives do you have to create here?
Keeping this account online for now, but you can find me at the other place at `https://t.co/xR7L5JhDBy`
The deprioritization of tweets with links in them is Twitter's biggest flaw. It bothers me more than all the new right-wing trolls. Trolls I'm used to, but what draws me to Twitter is to find out what's going on, and you can't do that without links.
Rep. @AOC on Rep. Mace's transgender bathroom measure:
"They're doing this so that Nancy Mace can ... fundraise off an email. They're not doing this to protect people. They're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kinds. And everybody should reject it. It's gross."
I'm convinced that close to 100% of attacks on the trans community stem from lack of information. Not a single "anti-trans" person I've debated has known anything about the scientific justification for trans identity. Most of them drop their opposition when presented with facts
Not a single Trump sign in my neighborhood has come down yet. The Trump merch booth still operates on the same corner as before the election. Do they think he's still running, or ?
I'm now on Bluesky at `https://t.co/d2sGoaCJgt`, but good God is that app boring so far. I'd rather stay here and rack up death threats to frame on my mood board. If this hellsite merges with Truth, though...
I will be incredibly surprised if the Trump <-> crypto alliance holds until the end of his term. Authoritarians and extranational power systems historically don't mix -- assuming crypto is, in fact, independent and not simply a platform for grifting
Sadly, I was correct to suspect that cultural shifts would inevitably become political shifts. I love https://t.co/uN7DCBWbM9, but the moment he dropped those accusations on Drake's crew providing no evidence and receiving no pushback, I knew it was cooked
I did attempt to keep my @washingtonpost subscription active after Bezos' original capitulation, but reading through the editorial section today tells me that capitulation is the paper's new byword. Regretfully unsubbed
The really cool thing about investing in long-term infrastructure projects in red states instead of defending democracy is that the benefits of those projects should kick in just in time for Trump to take credit for something he didn't do
@wp_acf This has happened several times before, and in line with the guidelines you agreed to by being in the directory: https://t.co/90ni1jB7E2
Best of luck with your version. We're looking forward to making ours amazing for our users, using the best GPL code available.
A key point missing in a lot of post debate analysis is that Trump’s claim about immigrants eating pets almost perfectly syncs up to the piano in the Peanuts theme song.
the worst thing that spending too much time On Here can do is warp your sense of how fucked up and mean and unhappy people are. On Here is where fucked up and mean and unhappy people go. the normal happy people are out living their lives! you have to go outside to see them!
Before posting "Real Tech Content"™, a brief note: in the past I've regarded tech debates as the equivalent of Byzantine theological debate -- lots of heat over little substance. Compared to what crawls over my TL these days, I long for the days where that was my biggest concern
Today, I attended a press conference at the apartment complexes where national and local media have falsely reported that gangs have taken over.
Instead, we heard from residents who debunked this narrative and called out the slumlord responsible for forcing them to live in inhumane conditions.
This is a thread of what I saw and heard.

🧵Ok I'm someone who has followed the @RealPage price fixing conspiracy in the rental market closely, but this weekend I read the full @TheJusticeDept complaint and my jaw hit the floor. This was flagrant, far reaching and deliberate. Let's dig in. 1/7 https://t.co/Eduv3f9tBR
