As someone who has slammed on the brakes, jumped out of the car, stopped traffic, run into the road (often in business casual attire), picked up a turtle, and then carried a peeing turtle across the road in the direction it was going MANY TIMES- this is good advice! I 💚🐢

🐢 Stop to move them only if you can SAFELY PULL ENTIRELY OFF THE ROAD.

🐢 Grasp the shell firmly.
DO NOT fumble the turtle.

🐢 Move the turtle off the road in the direction it was already heading.

🐢 Then go back to minding your own business.
