WOW!!
Young pilot ditches plane in the Atlantic off Boca… and just walks out. Competence is still alive.
Just watched a young pilot put a single-engine plane into the water off Boca Raton this morning and walk away without a scratch.
No spinning. No screaming. No “somebody do something.” She flew it in low and steady, set it down in the Atlantic, got herself out, and stood on the beach while the plane started sinking behind her like it was just another Tuesday.
That’s what actual competence looks like.
While half the country is busy arguing about feelings, safe spaces, and whose feelings got hurt on the internet, this woman just handled a life-or-death emergency with ice in her veins. No press conference. No excuses. No waiting for someone else to save her. Just skill, training, and the will to live.
We’ve spent years softening people, telling them they’re fragile, that every problem is someone else’s fault, that the world should adjust to them. Then you see something like this and remember: real capability still exists. People who can stay calm when the engine quits and the water is coming up. People who don’t freeze. People who solve the problem in front of them instead of posting about it.
That’s the energy we need more of in the cockpit, in the home, and in this country. Not more excuses. Not more helplessness. Actual competence.
Respect to the pilot. She earned every bit of it.
🇺🇸 In one of the most inappropriate uses of a quote from the hit movie “The Help”, I have to ask:
“Ain’t you tired Miss Hilly?” How is this woman’s back able to keep her standing upright?
Bro, WTF is that dog’s life like?! So WILD
