Unpaid contract is civil in most cases. Once the fence was put up and the workers asked to leave, it's multiple criminal offenses and no longer about payment in the eyes of our justice system, no matter how angry.

But they are essentially taking incredible risks to ruin their business with multiple criminal offenses placed on their workers and their company brand.

Karma hits back one way or another, maybe not immediate but eventually.

Once the owner demanded that they leave, unfortunately for the workers, it is criminal trespassing and theft.

But if the owner revoked their right to enter his yard/property, it is criminal trespassing and I would be surprised the police officers just stood unless it's a really corrupt small town or doing wherever they want.

The types of fences that we see in comedy movies toppling over when someone jumps on it is far more realistic than being able to support a 200 pound guy hopping over it.
