@locuta Hij is de trekpop voor de mannetjes achter project 2025. Ze zullen proberen hem zo lang mogelijk op de been te houden.
Nu van 12u to 15u. Straks wordt ie nog een uurtje of zo uitgerold. Hij heeft immers véél te veel werk om steeds die fake news te woord te staan.
Bets are open!
@locuta In 500+ dagen hebben ze het kwalijke energiebeleid dus nog steeds niet opgelost? 🤦♂️
Ze zijn anders wel goed bezig om alles wat enigszins groen is, roetzwart te maken.
Open Letter
To the President of the Russian Federation
From the President of Ukraine
When you came to power in Russia more than 26 years ago, many people in Ukraine viewed you positively. That is how it was. But that is now in the past.
Now, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians view it positively that our long-range drones paid a visit to the opening of your forum in St. Petersburg, covering a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers. As you know very well, that distance is not the limit of our capabilities.
The New World Screwworm, a grave parasitic threat, has just been detected in US cattle for the first time since it was eradicated in 1966.
The parasite's revival comes after Trump and DOGE slashed funding for Screwworm monitoring programs.
@rural_mtn_life@JamesTate121 The US is heading full speed towards that dystopian trope where a handful of overlords is left, ruling over a destroyed and impoverished country.
Sounds like doomsday science fiction?
At a time when ocean temperatures are smashing records and scientists are still trying to understand how fast the system is shifting under climate change, they are talking about scrapping a 368 million dollar early warning network that has ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR by tax payers.
This is not just a few sensors in the sea. It is a network of ~900 instruments measuring temperature, currents, carbon, chemistry and ecosystem change. It was designed to deliver long term data over decades.
This would effectively end key long running records and that matters because ocean data only becomes powerful over time. You cannot rebuild a continuous climate record once it is interrupted.
There is a well-documented pattern to the first Trump administration. The people who worked in it stayed quiet while employed, then the moment they were fired, sat down and wrote a book. Bolton. Esper. Mattis. Tillerson. The consistent theme: the man wanted to bomb things. Iran. North Korea. Venezuela. Mexico, on at least one occasion that we know of. The adults in the room spent considerable energy preventing a nuclear confrontation because the President had seen something on Fox News.
That was Term One. Term Two is different.
The adults are gone. What replaced them is a collection of individuals who in any previous era of American governance would not have been trusted with the photocopier code.
Picture the scene. The President announces he has an idea. He is enthusiastic. He uses hand gestures. The people around the table look up from their shoes and think, in unison: sure, sounds great.
Nobody pushes back. Nobody has a map. Nobody asks what happens to global oil supply when you bomb the Persian Gulf, or what Mexico does when American special forces cross the border, or whether Greenland’s population has any opinion on being purchased against their will.
Nobody knows, because the hiring criteria for this White House had nothing to do with knowing things.
In Term One, the grownups bought time. They slow-walked the paperwork. They prevented catastrophe through sheer bureaucratic friction.
In Term Two, there is no friction. There is only nodding. And under the table, at least three senior officials are quietly Googling “where is Iran” on their phones. One of them has spelled it “I-ron” and is now reading a five-star review of a steam iron on Amazon. He finds it very informative.
He is the Secretary of Defense.
Let's decode what actually happened here.
Axios reported that Trump exploded at Netanyahu. Called him "fucking crazy." Said "you'd be in prison if it weren't for me." Said "everybody hates you now."
The journalist is Barak Ravid again, we talked about it. Israeli. Based in Washington. Covers the Netanyahu-US relationship for Axios, and every latest deals to calm the markets.
This is the same journalist who wrote the exact same type of story about Biden. There is literally a book chapter about this pattern. It is called "Fuming Biden." The same reporter. The same format. The same function. Different president.
Now watch the response.
Mark Levin, a close ally of both Trump and Netanyahu, did not deny the story. He demanded an FBI investigation into who leaked it. When your defense is "this should never have leaked" instead of "this never happened," you have confirmed the call happened.
But here is the part that matters.
Why would Levin, a friend to BOTH men, confirm the most explosive account of their relationship ever published?
Because it serves both.
Trump gets to look tough. Not Netanyahu's puppet. Willing to put Israel in its place. His base loves it.
Netanyahu gets cover. He "paused" the Beirut strike, but not because Iran threatened him. Because his "friend" asked him to. His base loves it too.
And look at what actually changed on the ground. Nothing.
Israel cancelled the Beirut strike. But the ground invasion of Lebanon continues. The IDF is still miles deep. A soldier died today from a Hezbollah drone. Netanyahu's office said: "position unchanged."
The performance was perfect. Trump gets the headline. Netanyahu gets the cover. The deal gets another 48 hours of "progress." Markets get a reason to breathe.
And the war continues exactly as planned.
This is the same playbook. Every time public opinion turns against the war, a story appears showing the US president is "furious" with Israel. It creates the illusion of restraint while changing nothing.
Biden was "furious" for 14 months. The war never stopped.
Trump is "furious" now. The ground invasion is expanding.
The visible game is: Trump controls Netanyahu.
The real game is: both men are performing for their audiences while the machine moves forward.
Nothing has been signed. Nothing has stopped. The war is not winding down. It is being managed.
Neither one controls the other. They walk arm in arm. Know that.
