My boyfriend’s best friend kissed me while he was in the next room.
I know how terrible that sounds.
But you need the whole story.
My boyfriend and I had been together for almost two years, and his best friend had basically become part of our lives.
He was at our apartment all the time.
At first, I didn’t think anything of it.
Then little things started happening.
Longer eye contact.
Private jokes.
His hand lingering on my waist whenever he walked past me.
I told myself I was imagining it.
Until one night my boyfriend went downstairs to get food.
His best friend and I were alone.
He looked at me and said,
“You know this isn’t just in your head, right?”
I should’ve walked away.
Instead, I asked:
“Then why haven’t you done anything?”
He stepped closer.
“I’ve been trying not to.”
Then he kissed me.
And the worst part?
I kissed him back.
We heard the front door open.
We immediately pulled apart.
My boyfriend walked back into the room holding two drinks.
He smiled at us.
Neither of us could look him in the eyes.

Doctor Strange had already seen millions of possible outcomes against Thanos.
So why does he give up the Time Stone after seeing the one winning future?
The answer is obviously that he couldn't reveal the plan without changing it.
But that creates another question: how much of Endgame was Strange actually planning around before Tony ever sacrificed himself?
Nobody does it like Tyla.
The confidence, the energy, the whole look… she really knows how to make a moment feel like HER moment. And somehow, every time she shows up, the timeline has something to argue about.
Be honest: who's actually doing it like Tyla right now?
Watching Avengers: Endgame Encore made me realise one of the wildest double standards in the MCU.
Okay, Clint spent five years traveling around the world as Ronin, k1lling criminals.
He was basically the judge, the jury and the executioner...📺📺📺
And nobody did anything about it, nobody dare to stop him
No arrest, no trial and no legal consequences.
I was at a wedding when I first saw her being humiliated, and what broke my heart was that she never fought back. She was the quiet girl everyone described as “too soft.” She greeted everyone, helped the caterers, carried plates for elderly guests, and kept apologizing whenever someone spoke harshly to her. Even when some women mocked her simple dress and laughed because she wasn’t wearing expensive jewelry, she smiled and said, “It’s okay.” I remember thinking, Why does she keep being kind to people who clearly don’t respect her? Her name was Amara, and that day she was marrying a man from a very wealthy family. The difference between the two families was obvious. Her parents arrived in an old car and sat quietly at the back, while her husband’s family came with expensive cars, security, photographers, and relatives who behaved as if they owned the entire venue. During the reception, I overheard one of the groom’s relatives say, “At least she should know she married into a family bigger than hers.” Amara heard it. She simply smiled. Her mother even pulled her aside and said, “Please endure. You are lucky to have found a husband from this kind of family.” I remember looking at her and wondering why everyone was teaching this young woman to endure instead of teaching everyone else to respect her…

The voicemail arrived at 2:17 a.m.
Maya almost deleted it.
She was lying in bed after another exhausting shift at the hospital when her phone lit up with a notification from an unknown number.
Normally, she ignored calls from numbers she didn't recognize.
But something made her press play.
A man's voice filled the room.
"Hi... I don't know if this number still belongs to you. If it does, then I guess this is the hardest call I've ever made."
Maya froze.
She knew that voice.
Her father.
The man she hadn't spoken to in eleven years.
The man who had walked out when she was seventeen.
The message continued.
"I've recorded this a hundred times and deleted it a hundred times. I don't know what to say except... I'm sorry."
Maya immediately stopped the recording.
Her hands were shaking.
For eleven years she had imagined this moment.
She had imagined screaming at him.
Demanding answers.
Asking why he left.
Why he missed her graduation.
Why he wasn't there when her mother got sick.
Why every birthday card stopped coming.
But now that his voice was actually in her room, she couldn't breathe.
The next morning, she went to work pretending nothing had happened.
She treated patients.
Filled out reports.
Smiled at coworkers.
But her mind kept returning to that voicemail.
Finally, during lunch, she listened to the rest.
"I don't expect forgiveness," her father said.
"I don't even expect a call back."
There was a long pause.
Then his voice cracked.
"I just wanted you to know that not a single day passed where I wasn't proud of you."
Maya felt tears gathering in her eyes.
"I heard you became a nurse."
Another pause.
"Your mom used to tell me you'd help people someday."
Silence.
Then came the sentence that changed everything.
"I have stage four cancer."
Maya's heart dropped.
The voicemail continued.
"The doctors say I don't have much time."
His breathing sounded heavier now.
"I don't want money. I don't want sympathy. I just didn't want to leave this world without saying I was sorry."
Another pause.
"If you never call me back, I'll understand."
Then, almost in a whisper:
"But I'd love to hear your voice one more time."
The message ended.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I looked at a Tom Cruise movie’s box-office numbers and thought, “Damn, this is BAD.”
But that’s exactly what’s happening with Digger.
The film opened to roughly $7.5 million domestically, making it Cruise’s weakest opening in nearly two decades. That’s shocking when you consider the man has spent the last several years turning his movies into genuine theatrical events with Top Gun: Maverick and the Mission: Impossible films.
And I think part of the problem is that Digger is almost the complete opposite of what audiences have come to expect from Tom Cruise.
This isn’t Cruise running, fighting, flying planes or performing some insane stunt.
He’s playing Digger Rockwell, a wealthy oil tycoon, in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s dark, bizarre environmental satire. It’s much closer to the kind of character-driven, strange material Cruise explored earlier in his career with films like Magnolia and Tropic Thunder.
And honestly, I respect the decision….🧵
