Today a student mentioned how surprised they were when they first saw the size of the tongue in a sagittal section. I bet they would be equally surprised to see what it looks like while beatboxing, because I certainly was the first time I saw this video.
Congratulations to @westernuACB’s own @Charys_M_Martin for her @SchulichMedDent Leader Award in Undergraduate Education! Such a well deserved recognition for a talented and passionate educator 🥳🥂@westernuCTL

@MikaelaStiver@DrKirtyBrown@GlobalNeuroNtwk@VDD_Anatomy@krebs_claudia I am definitely planning on using some of UBC's images (especially their cross-sections), but if @VDD_Anatomy wouldn't mind sharing other images that would be awesome! I'd love to have multiple images of the same structures to account for variations & to discourage memorization
Over the past few months I've developed 6500+ anatomy exam practice questions using atlas images, mostly Rohen's (30%) & BlueLink (12%). I'm looking to replace copyrighted images with open-access ones for free sharing. Is anyone willing to contribute suitable images I can use?
@DrKarenPinder Very interested to hear how effective Anki actually is - anecdotally, almonst all medical students seem to use it in at least some capacity!
@DrKirtyBrown@GlobalNeuroNtwk The neuro section is largely still a work in progress as I was hoping to find open-access images before diving too deep into it. If ayone at @GlobalNeuroNtwk has access to copyright-free neuro images, I'll gladly do all the highlighting, make all the questions, and submit them!
@JoyBalta I totally forgot about that, I'll request access to those images and will check them out! I haven't made them open-access yet, but that's definitely the plan :) I'd like to (painfully) look over all 6500 questions to make sure there aren't any mistakes before releasing.
Overwhelmed with gratitude after receiving an incredibly thoughtful gift from former @OhioStateMed students. Each time I wear the beautiful Patagonia sweater will be a reminder of all the memories we shared. Missing you all and forever inspired by our time together🥰
Do you love anatomy and are looking for a grad program? Our course based MSc program will allow you to enrich your anatomical knowledge while simultaneously developing skills as an educator, researcher, and professional in a supportive and fun environment. Apps due by Jan 15.
@duneposter So far I've "finished" Head and Neck, Upper Limb, Lower Limb, and Back and Spinal Cord, and am almost done Abdomen. Im not going to make an official release until I finish Thorax, Pelvis and Perineum (maybe in a month?), but I can share with you what I've done so far if you want!
Incredibly thankful for the support and inspiration I’ve received over the last few years during my PhD @OhioStateMed. Looking forward to where this journey takes me next #PhDDone
