This is the largest war in Europe since World War II, and it is being waged in our names. And you will not fucking escape this shame, no matter how much you want to bury your head in the sand and deny it.

And if we’re talking about the interests of the Russian people, Russia’s military defeat is a necessary condition for a change of power in Russia. It is the Russian people’s only hope for a peaceful, democratic country - if that’s what they want.

لكن في ذات التقرير لـ "والا" ضابط رفيع يشرح أن عدم التقدم الإسرائيلي من المناطق المحتلة "يخدم مصالح إسرائيل الأمنية" كما يبدو كإشارة إلى تدهور في العلاقات الإسرائيلية بحليفتها الوحيدة ذات الوزن السياسي - الولايات المتحدة إن يحصل هكذا غزو.

سلطة دمشق محمية من قبل إدارة ترامب التي رفعت العقوبات عن سوريا غصباً عن نتنياهو الذي طلب شخصياً من ترامب عدم رفعها. كل رئيس وزراء مهما كان لن يجرؤ على أن يخالف ترامب في قضية مهمة مثل هوية الحاكم في دمشق طالما ترامب وتوم براك مسحوران بالشرع، وعلاوة على ذلك حتى الأشخاص الأكثر نقداً أو ريبة من السلطة الجديدة في دمشق داخل الإدارة الأمريكية يعون أن البديل للشرع هو الفوضى التي تُستغل من قبل إيران وداعش. تخريب علاقته بترامب قبيل الانتخابات لن يخدم نتنياهو، وبعدها أيضاً كل رئيس وزراء محتمل لن يتجرأ على مخالفته.

تصعيد أمني قبل الانتخابات قد يخدم نتنياهو، لكن الجيش الإسرائيلي يسعى إلى أن يحول دون ذلك، ولدى الجيش تأثير إعلامي كبير بفضل ثقة أغلب الجمهور الإسرائيلي به (بينما أقل من 50% يثقون بنتنياهو). بعدما ادعى نتنياهو في فيديو أن هناك إشارات لنية أعداء إسرائيل شن هجمات على إسرائيل قبل الانتخابات، مسؤولون في الجيش فندوا هذه الكذبة، والتغطية الإعلامية في كل القنوات ما عدا قناة 14 (وهي قناة الدنيا الإسرائيلية) كانت تركز على التسريبات المفنّدة من الجيش وليس على أقوال نتنياهو.

Mahmoud Khalil urged pro-Palestinian protesters in New York to keep holding Mayor Zohran Mamdani accountable, but criticized those calling him a “genocide enabler,” warning that such accusations diminish the meaning of genocide.

“That takes away so much from the word genocide,” Khalil said, comparing the accusation directed at the New York mayor to the way Israel’s supporters indiscriminately invoke antisemitism.

Khalil acknowledged protesters’ frustrations, but urged activists to move away from “purity politics” and internal infighting, and instead focus on grassroots organizing, political education, and extending one another “some grace.”

Palestinians being killed cannot wait for endless theorizing about liberation and revolution, he argued. The priority must be stopping U.S. weapons shipments to Israel.
