@AJamesMcCarthy Congratulations. This is one of the most inspiring images I’ve ever seen in my long long life. Thank you for presenting this to the world.
@AJamesMcCarthy@johnkrausphotos I love your story here.
My father was a CE in the firing room at Cape Canaveral for Mercury, Gemini and Apollo launches. His experiences inspired me. I’ve been fascinated with space ever since. And now my imagination has been lit by this launch, and your wonderful photography. TY
@thequeenofrust There’s a peaceful beauty to this one, maybe due to how advanced the decay is. It’s quietly melting (rain snow wind moss worms), returning to ground. It’s okay to admire its graceful departure.
@thequeenofrust Grandpa Mike from Iowa, in France in 1918. He brought home his brother and two Purple Hearts, became a barber for his lifetime career. Thanks for asking.
@thequeenofrust My family has a similar box of photos, unidentified family members. I like to think that soon, facial recognition software will be able to link generations and identify where they belong in the family tree.
