Supporters in attendance at tonight’s fixture against Manchester City are encouraged to join in with an applause in memory of Matt Beard ❤️

This will take place during the 13th minute of each WSL and WSL2 game to honour Matt’s life and celebrate all that he achieved.

2013 was the first year Matt won the WSL with us and was named the league’s Manager of the Year.

This weekend marks one year since the passing of Matt Beard.

Matt made a significant contribution to the women’s game, leaving a lasting impact on players, coaches, colleagues, and everyone who had the opportunity to know and work with him.

To recognise Matt’s legacy, we invite supporters to show their appreciation and celebrate his life by leading a round of applause during the 13th minute of Barclays Women’s Super League and Women’s Super League 2 fixtures this weekend.

The 13th minute acknowledges 2013, a landmark year for Matt when he guided Liverpool WFC to the WSL title and was named the league’s Manager of the Year.

Some clubs will also lead tributes for Matt with a minute of applause pre-game.
