Just a friendly reminder that I am not the US Ambassador to Poland, despite having a similar name. As there isn't much crossover between being an ambassador to Poland and writing tech reviews, I am unable to field questions on his behalf particularly well, but I try my best.
I wrote a piece on bamboo toilet paper that goes over what we used before TP, which is thoroughly weird. to quote the first TP ad: "“Many people have wooed their own destruction, physical and mental, by neglecting to pay attention to ordinary matters.” https://t.co/yidvP6t5zS
@MRoorda it’s a tiny emoji color swatch that indicates your pals are having fun with a game. if *that’s* the most annoying thing on someone’s TL, then they are clearly far too blessed and you are performing a vital service for them.
Today is the 10 year anniversary of Mike Dawson Day! 🥳 I'm celebrating in the traditional way, by donning my finest tan blazer and worst fake mustache and solving some puzzles in an officially-licensed Giger hellscape.
@MRoorda@reviewed@jeremystamas look: sometimes those with the actual mustaches are the ones who most need to don the fake one. If you really think about it. Like I mean *really* think about it like just please ok just work with me here
Wrote up a round-up of the best shower cleaners out there. CLR and Scrubbing Bubbles might have some of the better brand recognition, but they actually underperformed vs. the field. https://t.co/FD9xFwmVSV
oh hey, I got verified! To celebrate, here's some pics from over a decade ago, of me & some of my most beloved cohorts, trying our very best to make good content online.
@Island_Als To get consistent measurements regardless of manufacturer, we manually measure all the areas where one would actually be able to store food. Since we apply the same methodology to all fridges, these measurements let us make better "apples to apples" comparisons between fridges.
@Island_Als We're measuring different things. Manufacturers don't always use the same methodology, but most often they measure the *total* volume inside the fridge, which includes a lot of areas you wouldn't typically store food: around the ice maker, between shelves and the door, etc.
