@darren_lehmann A class post from one of Yorkshire’s greatest players. And we’ve had some greats. Someone in the game who genuinely appreciates fans who travel around the country to watch their counties. Great stuff.
@dgriffinpix@DerbyshireCCC@WorcsCCC A great post David. Your support, posts and advocacy of domestic cricket and championship cricket in particular speaks for many, many cricket lovers.
@YorkshireCCC Couldn’t get in our 50 overs side but ends up with a winner’s medal. Sort of sums this season up. Reminds me of Steve Rhodes leaving in the 80s when he probably should have replaced David Bairstow earlier.
@YesWeCrann This is the worst Wednesday fanbase of my 50 years supporting the club. The booing and abuse yesterday because we didn’t beat a very decent side was embarrassing. Everyone seems to know more than HP and tells everyone around them. Might be my last season.
@Bennyb1234567@SomersetCCC Not embarrassed, no. Frustrated at times. Proud of the players we’ve produced for England this century. Gough, Vaughan, Hoggard, Root, Brook, Rashid amongst others. And in that time we’ve won three titles.
@richardgibsonDM Bess and Hill put on 166. If it was a pitch too much in the favour of the bowlers, how come Somerset’s much vaunted bowling attack couldn’t break that match defining partnership.
@s6_swfc@asyouwereS6 It’s modern football. Or the modern day football fan. Thousands of ‘experts’ watch the game each week. They used to be known as ‘fans’ or ‘supporters’. And they like to be heard, often getting angry towards a fellow ‘expert’ close by.
@YorkshireCCC All of the first three wickets were down to the conditions and the bowlers exploiting them perfectly. Some posts on here reveal a lack of cricketing knowledge.
@AlanBiggs1 Next March will mark 50 years supporting SWFC. I accept it may be social media amplifying supporter dissent, but never has the Wednesday fanbase been so objectionable, critical, or disagreeable. Experts too. Even when there should be a positive vibe.
@YorkshireCCC Had this game been at Headingley - with a more sophisticated drainage system - would the 4th day have gone ahead thus giving us the chance of three bowling bonus points?
