Only in Ireland!😡
In the midst of a housing crisis—17,517 people, including 5,571 children, are relying on emergency accommodation—and with rents and house prices unaffordable to the vast majority, there are still so many derelict and vacant buildings throughout Ireland.
Here is one example in Dublin; in my visualisation, the red blocks represent some of the derelict and vacant sites along Upper and Lower Ormond Quay in Dublin City.

A C295 mission to Kosovo recently saw Defence Forces personnel and mission sustainment supplies delivered to our contingent serving with KFOR, as Ireland continues its long-standing commitment to the NATO-led peace support mission.
Supporting those who serve Ireland overseas remains a priority for the Defence Forces.
Welcome to Artemis, Ireland 🇮🇪

It is “wrong” that BAM’s disastrous handling of the Children’s Hospital is not taken into account when the company bids for other public contracts, a Fianna Fáil TD has argued.

DART+ fleet update
Set 3 modified as an electric only test train to match the 6 electric only trains on order
Batteries removed, eagle eyed will note something else has been removed
Hard to understand why the electric only version can’t enter service before the battery version

I think it’s clear we need to radically increase our defensive capabilities.
We can do this and debate this without going down the rabbit holes of neutrality, the military industrial complex or western imperialism.
The security of our people and our economy matters.
One year ago this weekend, I was honoured to be appointed Minister of State for International Development & the Diaspora by Simon Harris. A hectic year amid global change, but Ireland has stayed true to its values at home and abroad. Here’s to the year ahead 🇮🇪
I signed the order establishing this new public holiday. It clearly states that it is both St Brigid's Day and Imbolc venerating both an Irish christian saint and our own ancient new year when we had our own gods and godesses (1/2)
Did you know over 245,000 children benefited from the National Childcare scheme last year? Thats an increase of 12% in just one year.
Fine Gael is investing in childcare with higher subsidies, lower fees and continued improvements to the National Chilcare Scheme.
Opinion: Europe is tired of Ireland's low defence investment - here's a step towards fixing that (via @thejournal_ie) good piece here from @kevpipps https://t.co/2AR9BmVqLJ
