It is a terrible misunderstanding of the Gospel to think that it offers us salvation while relieving us of responsibility for the life of the world, for the sin and sorrow and pain with which our human life and that of our fellow men and women are so deeply interwoven.

The kid with #depression says: “The only thing more exhausting than being depressed is pretending that I’m not.”
The Edmond City Council passed an extension to the current face covering ordinance until November 30, 2020 by a vote of 3-2. The emergency clause was passed by a vote of 4-1, so the extension goes into effect immediately. No other changes were made at tonight's special meeting.
The closeness of our missionary thinking to the New Testament may perhaps be in part judged by the place which we accord to suffering in our understanding of the calling of the Church.

Tell you what’s missing from the church. Repentance. I’ve never seen such slander, malice, meanness, divisiveness & deception in my life.And without shame. Is it any wonder we’re in this shape? When repentance comes back to the church, we’ll see authentic Holy Spirit power again.
