@MandyScott_NI @BBCJustinR @BBCNews "mini" solar panels are inefficient use of the space. Just use proper ones. Kinetic generation is also inefficient, the levels of power generation are tiny and would need to "rob" the energy from the moving object making your walking out driving less efficient.

@eevblog This is being typed on a Pixel 6. Bought as the 7 came out for a relative bargain price. Would recommend. Could stretch the battery to over two days if careful. Cameras are excellent.

@brian01dawson @evmanuk Put them up. I would love to hear arguments from a planning committee suggest that they were inappropriate. Might have a "potentially" valid one in a conservation zone, but personally such concepts are lower priority than energy independence.
