@LauraLoomer@spencerpratt You're an idiot. It takes time to count votes. Something you don't want to happen. Are you really surprised that D+50 LA is going to send two Dems in a runoff?
@whyamihere2332@ThienemanSZN@CuriousMe165823 Just because they get millions doesnt mean they won't miss out on more. By the way, this has to be done through the mega projects bill which would devestate big projects in small communities that don't have revenue sources like the suburbs.
While Indiana is willing to raise taxes and promise $1 billion in taxpayer funds, Illinois has focused on the needs of working families who want relief at the gas pump, at the store, and on their insurance bills-not taxpayer-funded stadiums. Illinois remains open to ongoing efforts to secure the Bears in Illinois.
@MWpatriot01@CalebFC18 So...the Bears are a multi-billion-dollar corporation that is building a private stadium. Taxpayer funds should go towards infrastructure investments (roads, sidewalks, transportation, etc.), not property tax breaks that would devastate local communities.
@BearForce_0ne@BearsShowYo The state is willing to fund infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, transportation, etc). The point of contention was that the Bears wanted a bill from the legislature that would freeze their taxes for decades.
@Dice_Says This is on the Bears. They are a billion-dollar corporation seeking taxpayer dollars for a private stadium. They slapped the working people (their fans) in the face with this move. They haven't even paid off Soldier Field yet.
@BearForce_0ne@BearsShowYo It is there fault. They are a billion-dollar corporation who should not be redirecting taxpayer funds away for a private stadium development. The fans in Illinois have supported them for some time but it seems the Bears have abandoned them.
