@mitchellreports @drJoshS No matter who you are, how wealthy or famous, when you are under the care of a doctor, the doctor is in charge. After 35 years of photographing powerful and famous subjects, including presidents, only one person – ever – commanded and controlled my shoot.

When I describe it to friends, I compare the photographer-subject relationship to that of the doctor-patient.

I talk about sitting for three-minutes just three feet from, who would years later become, the most dangerous person on earth. I talk about how he asked me if we needed to reschedule when I motioned to change a battery.

@MarCNuf @CDCgov I just went through the same scary situation. Could not get tested. My doc ran a respiratory multiplex which turned up Influenza Type A. Such a relief to know how to proceed. Good luck.
