Tom Pecora spent 24 years with the CIA as a security officer, living and working in some of the most dangerous locations around the world. Tom was hired by CIA on September 5th, 1989, as a Multi-Discipline Security Officer. Initially he worked on background checks and other administrative matters before volunteering for the new Protective Operations Cadre in mid-1991. Missions with the Protective Operations Cadre took him all over the world for weeks at a time, including many places he still cannot publicly identify now. On September 5th, 1993, he and his team were fired upon during a hasty ambush in Mogadishu, Somalia. Deputy Chief of Station John Marcello, who was riding in the back of their Isuzu Trooper, was hit by a rifle round that came through the unarmored window and entered at his collarbone, just above the collar of his flak vest. Tom had improvised some plate armor for the vehicle after arriving in country, but it did not offer full coverage. The DCOS survived partly because of Tom’s lifesaving actions as they raced to the hospital on the UN compound but was medically retired from service not long afterwards. Tom and his partner also departed soon after, just weeks before the now-infamous Battle of Mogadishu which began on October 3rd, 1993. In 1994 he joined CIA’s Counterterrorism Center, deploying to North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Balkans, among other locations. After the 9/11 attacks Tom was busier than ever. In 2004 and 2005 he was in charge of security operations for all CIA activities in Iraq. The next year he was sent to the US embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. Tom retired from government service in 2013 after 24 years working with some of the best people in the worst places. I have alot of information of hhs contra costa county california knowingly placing kids with pedophile families after they knew that family was raping that same child by placing objects in the kids areas,i know another foster kid who allegedly married her foster father,and lots of other sexual abuse cases by hhs in ccc placing kids with pedophiles and being sued,they are preying on our children,i want my kids out of beccarras child trafficking ring and the other kids out too.
