Watching what is happening with MLB contract negotiations and the main issue is owner vs owner.
The financial disparity in team revenue is due to local TV deals. If LAD, NYY, CHC, BOS, NYM give up their massive advantage and they pool tv rights like every other league does then there’s no excuse for the Pittsburgh’s and Minnesota’s not to resign guys. Everyone would be at a level playing field in regards to revenue. Yes, there’s still some disparity with gate revenue but that’s spare change compared to the tv deals.
Every other item they’re arguing over is to make more profit than they’re already making.
