@Brewenor @MurrDCU @flugempire It’s the research money that’s the life blood of academia. There is also an incredible peer pressure that exists between academic institutions. Breaking away from the NCAA would be a very bad look for some of these high academic institutions.

@MurrDCU @flugempire Good luck with that. There’s not a university on this planet that would go there if they lose tax exempt status. Even if they could retain it, I’m not sure any of them would be able to tolerate the retribution in the academic world.
