Among all the horrors Russia is inflicting on Ukraine the systematic deportation of its people is perhaps the worst as it indicates the sheer viciousness and determination of Russia to destroy Ukraine's identity: https://t.co/L5OSCUEl2W
@ArielCohen46 @yarotrof Not so - 80%+ are shot down, and they usually only succeed because of the sheer numbers overcoming the defences. Agree, a simple machine gun is not going to easily do the job, but if the base doesn't have defences against drones like Shaheds they should.
@TorstenBell Phew - we can all relax, Mexico and Brazil are coming to the rescue. Zelensky can sleep easy in his bed. Somehow I don't think Richard Shirreff is going to be pleased at having his name used in support of this...
@thompson_lav@TVietor08@nytimes Don't be absurd. There will always be some kind of social programme, but saying you don't want normal meetings is quite another thing altogether.
@mariashriver Sadly Maria I think your answer is in so many of the comments below. Trump's followers are lost in the rabbit hole and will explain away anything he does however narcissistic and weird. That's what's happening here.
@CroyHillMedia@SangitaMyska Go through the transcript, you will find that he linked walking to the Capitol and fighting mere seconds apart. The idiot who did that had no need for that edit because Trump made the link seconds apart. Go on, look it up.
@NicoleC26578385@TheTNHoller You're right, it is imbalanced. Given he lied about what he was doing, then just destroyed the East Wing without consultation, how can only 95% negative coverage be justified. It should have been 100%. Thanks for pointing this out.
@evo1tactical@ChuckPfarrer I wish I could agree more fully, as I am 100% with Ukraine. I don't doubt your facts, but Russia still recruits enough 'meat' and inflicts losses on Ukraine that it finds harder to replace. It's not how many losses that matter, but capacity to absorb them.
@seankelly014@HeidiBachram@Telegraph Well to be fair then, everybody, everywhere, whose ever done anything terrible should have their monuments defaced by ignorant, single issue fanatics protesting about something totally irrelevant to the memorial that's being commemorated.
@MichaelLCrick The extra problem Michael is shown by so many of the replies below. Reform supporters don't care, and resort to the kind of whataboutism and other distractions that are standard MAGA responses.
@ChhibbaSharma @yarotrof@VladDavidzon You seem terribly ignorant that the effectiveness of both sides SAMs neutralised both fixed and rotary air, so any assumption of air superiority over the frontline area is foolish.
@JayinKyiv The best way for us to stop treating Russia like the bogeyman is for Russia to stop behaving like one. You don't need secret intelligence to make this judgement, just look at what Russia is openly doing and saying every day.
@BidenHQ I'm sure you realise this, but Trump brings out the worst in people. They love BECAUSE he does this kind of thing, not despite it. He gives his cult permission to be cruel and mock others - to indulge their basest impulses.
@Peston Who cares about this tosh apart from 650 irrelevancies living in a bubble? The Mother of Parliament has regressed to infantlism. Their level of anger should be reserved for something that deserves it.
@docmurdock@AdamKinzinger You idiot. Unlike Trump, Kinzinger isn't lying and claiming he was. Are you so delusional you're OK with your 'hero' saying he was, claiming some of the glory owed to true heroes?
Ukrainian defenders wish you Merry Christmas from the frontlines.
The war is not over, they remind us. And not everyone will get to spend the holidays with their families.
