Today my statement in the Assembly extended congratulations to @MoneyglassGAC on the official opening of its new pitch at Loughbeg Road.
I described this fine Club community as an exemplary model of the volunteering ethos upon which the GAA is built.
At just 5 years old, Derry girl Líle has become an unexpected symbol of hope and unity.
During the Unity Against Division community rally at Guildhall Square in Derry on Wednesday, Líle stood among the crowd holding a sign that read, "All human, all equal."
The image of her (which I captured at the event) has since gone viral, touching hearts around the world. Her simple yet profound message has inspired people, with many setting the image as their profile picture and expressing overwhelming support online.
As Líle herself said, "Brown skin, white skin, any type of skin, we're all equal the way we are," a statement that resonates deeply with many and highlights the rally's spirit.
