@etanthomas36 Agreed! I also think what isn’t mentioned enough is I would love to have a lot of these shoes in the color way I want but Nike would rather I go purchase them on a 3rd party website. How does that experience ingratiate me to have brand loyalty. I’ve moved on to other companies
@darrenrovell Solely focusing on retros and creating a business model built on scarcity. You wanted retro Jordans? Too bad! You want Kobe’s too? Go to the secondary market. It’s hard to have ownership with a company when you cannot buy their products. 🤦🏻♂️🤮
🤕 NEW @YahooSports:
No Cade. No Ant. Luka Doncic out.
All on Amazon Prime last night.
Welcome to the new normal. New study shows that just 33% of national TV games have full availability from stars on both teams. On the NBA's troubling star outage: https://t.co/MQtWkyXiYp
This is the #1 problem with the way the game is called now. SGA can use his arms to push the defender away, but as the defender tries to recover and reaches, he’s called for the foul. It’s a foul on SGA first but it’s (almost) never called vs. FTs on marginal contact.
Steve Nash on the issues with basketball development in the USA
"Its pay to play in the states. Capitalism is wonderful, not great for player development. In Europe the playing is free. Theres no hidden motives and we have to win or the kid is leaving for the next club.... Here its just been totally commercialized"
here’s where he got it from: https://t.co/xTmBFOD8FZ (seattle specific)
looks like you need to put a little effort in yourself to program, but instructions are included!
and i’m sure there are other ones out there that may be easier to set up!
American is a respiratory therapist. She explains how things have gotten so expensive in America even making $32 an hour working 40 hours a week, she can’t afford life
- Her bi-weekly take home after taxes, retirement and health insurance for her and her 3 year old daughter is $1,600
- That’s $3,200 a month take home
- Rent is $1,400 a month (That’s below the national average)
- Gas and electric average $300
- Childcare for her 3 year old. $1,100 a month
Total that’s already at $2,800 just one mandatory bills
“I have $400 left to put gas in my car, groceries on the table, toiletries, know, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, laundry detergent, ah any co-pays if we decide to go to the doctor's office”
If she had a car payment she wouldn’t even have any money at all left for food and toiletries
We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch. We had Circus Circus. We had the Tropicana and the Excalibur. We had cheap slots, 24-hour wedding chapels, all-you-can eat buffets, shrimp cocktails on the house. You could have shut your mouth, kept the city affordable for middle-class tourists, and printed more money than you ever needed. But no, you just had to blow it up. You and your resort fees and your Michelin stars. Your Fontainebleau Hotel, Jean Georges Steakhouse, poolside cabana rentals, and Formula 1 Grand Prix. If you’d done your job, known your place, and stopped private equity from pricing out regular visitors, we all be fine right now. But you didn’t.
Grant Hill on why Lebron is not in the GOAT conversation:
"When you come out and youre passive and youre kind of just dont give it your all when your team needs you, you cant really have that discussion"
If Oregon intentionally lost the Big Ten CCG, they’d have played Clemson and then Arizona State. But instead, they won, and for that they were prevented from playing for 3 weeks and then forced to play the 2nd best team in the country who got a first round cupcake to warm them up
