@thereallisaann @IowaRhino1 @OmahaZoo The state line between Iowa and Nebraska is the Missouri river. It turns out that in 1877 a massive flood on the Missouri had it suddenly changed course leaving an oxbow lake (Carter Lake) isolated from the river. So now Carter Lake is the only part of Iowa west of the Missouri.

@thereallisaann @IowaRhino1 Great photo Lisa, hope you had a great night; however, it confused me as Carter Lake is in Iowa but Omaha is in Nebraska and Omaha surrounds Carter Lake. Something strange about the state line?

@agwhitfo @LowerTiers No, I didn't say that did I. I called the year 2000 to date the modern era of the game. Over the years from the mid 19th century the game has evolved so you can't compare then with now.

@EllsJBf @LowerTiers Yes you are correct and therein is the problem. No point creating lists for the sake of it. So why would the list be so short I wonder? 🤔
