This year I’m committing to making a new piece of art everyday single day. 😜

but seriously, if you are not happy with the amount of artwork you are making or feel like you want to improve your craft faster, please consider giving an everyday practice a try...

While I think it is fairly evident at this point how much this daily practice changed the course of my life — what you might not know is that It is something I continue to do because I am still not REMOTELY happy with the level of art I am making.

From both a technical (values, composition, lighting) and conceptual standpoint (more nuance and message, less blunt force trauma) there is still a MASSIVE room for improvement. The mix of feeling like I both learned and failed a little bit each day and that I have the potential to do better is what keeps me pushing forward…

If this resonates with you, give it some thought. You don’t have to commit to a full year. Try just the next 30 days. And you can also set a time limit each day so you have clear boundaries up front…

I can assure you, I am not a disciplined person. if i can do this, you sure af can do to this too. 💪

Wow.

Incredible story told by Mitchell Robsinon’s high school coach Butch Stockton.

Stockton explains his wife passed away in September and that Robinson visited her every day she was in the hospital.

At the funeral, Mitch said he’d invite Butch to live with him in NY. Stockton took him up on the offer and has been Robinson’s roommate since the start of the season.
