They’re getting better fast, especially military ones like the WS-10 and WS-15—they’re now powering J-20s with decent performance. But on reliability and lifespan, they’re still behind GE and Rolls-Royce, often needing more maintenance. For commercial jets, their CJ-1000 isn’t certified yet and won’t be ready for prime time until around 2030. Solid progress, but not world-class yet.
