In the first half of the 80s, Dundee United and Aberdeen were the top dogs in Scotland.
On 14th May 1983, Jim McLean’s side beat local rivals Dundee 2-1 to seal their only top-flight title to date.
Their form in the run-in was incredible — what a side they were.
As for the 'best fans in the world' minority of celtic fans who throw coins into opposition fans where kids, pensioners, adults sit is ridiculous! Fucking scum! You only went a goal down! Absolute arseholes
On this day in 1987:
An incredible night for Dundee Utd as they won 2-1 at Barcelona.
The home team had Gary Lineker and Mark Hughes in their side but they failed to overturn their 0-1 deficit that they had going into this QF 2nd leg.
This trip has been that magical and wild I have forgot to get ma home ticket 🤦 so any fans who know of a spare get in touch…also @dundeeunitedfc ‘mon the shed🧡🖤
@dundeeunitedfc@EuropaLeague Well done Jim, said from the start your the man for the job. Even had heated discussions after the game as the person still doesn't like you as a manager! Let them be. Wonderful job this season and last, and well done to all involved 👏🧡✈️🍺
@SkySportsNews Aberdeen fan obviously broke a seat and threw it (Aberdeen got allocation reduced coz of throwing things at united manager at previous home game) the minority are the problem!
