@SenatorThorpe So this 'Senator' fails to see the main political parties view all Australians as Australian, and not decisive based on race/colour or place of birth.
As a Senator does she not realize she is paid to represent all all constituents, not only those who she chooses based on race.
@SenatorThorpe I think you will find that he is indeed your King, and the very same one that you have sworn an allegiance to. Maybe time to reconsider your position as a Senator. It is certainly a role you are not suited to.
@SenatorThorpe The ability to protest is one of the benefits of living in a Democracy as we all do in Australia.
As a Senator who represents all Australians in your area, and having sworn your allegiance to the King, your recent behaviour is unacceptable. Should be sacked.

Though we do not need far left or right parties, we do need to move away from the center. ? a return to a Left & a Right party. This could leave room for a 3rd main party to take the centre ground to provide real choice to the voters. Would this assist in policy making?
@GavinBarwell Gavin, I think that both main parties have felt the need to move towards the center of their previous positions, reducing some of the policy differences, leaving some voters maintaing their, or familial, alliances to a party. 1/2
@GavinBarwell@RishiSunak Gavin, with no compulsory voting, will the total of voters be lower as many who do want to vote conservative, do not want to vote labour, so will simply not vote. Who is the real 3rd option to avoid a labour win.
@GavinBarwell In response to PMs not calling an election that will lose, does that not merely demonstrate:-
1. A lack of real leadership,
2. Surely, there is an understanding that delaying can be harming the country and the very people that MPs are there to represent.
@GavinBarwell Totally agree that the Armed Forces should recruit from the whole of (eligible) society it represents, but urge caution on setting targets of numbers or %. Ultimately, it is there to deploy into harms way to achieve the aim of HMG and not to satisfy woke politicians or masters.
@GavinBarwell Having had exposure to inhumane behavior in a few places of conflict, it should be a major challenges to raise the moral standards across the globe, regardless of culture, wealth etc.
@GavinBarwell 2/2 our moral compass over other parts of the world where those same values are not of the same standing. Not suggesting we accept it, just acknowledge it when working strategically to win the peace.
@GavinBarwell Gavin, I can only agree that there is no place for rape in our moral compass, regardless if it is children, women, or indeed men. It should not be any different during any conflict, either within or across international borders.
This can sometimes become a little blurred when 1/2
@GavinBarwell Has it been the Israeli or Palestinian people, or their leaders that have prevented that outcome, or the influence of Hamas and the PLO? Of course it is not that simple with other state actors having an interest in the region.
@rebaillieu@MoiraDeemingMP@JohnPesutto Following this thought, Lydia Thorpe should not be allowed hold public office as a Senator with her recent behaviour.
@GavinBarwell Like so many complex issues today, requires a cohesive approach. In this case a robust immigration policy of who you allow in, and a hard policy for those who enter illegally. UK should control who comes in.
Not everyone fron UK can come to Australia as an example
