🦈Quint's USS Indianapolis speech isn't just one of the best scenes in Jaws—it's the moment you realize why he hunts sharks with such relentless fury. He's not chasing a trophy. He's chasing the ghosts that have haunted him ever since the war.
Today in 1939 Lou Gehrig makes his last public appearance and gives his “Luckiest Man” speech. Here’s some scenes from that momentous day including words from Babe Ruth.
Happy release day to Big Trouble in Little China (1986)🐉
This film is pure concentrated joy. Wild action, killer one-liners, John Carpenter’s perfect vibe, and Kurt Russell absolutely owning every second as Jack Burton.
Any fans?
We are 7️⃣7⃣ days from the Bears kicking off the 2026 regular season vs. the Panthers.
Harold Edward "Red" Grange wore No. 77 for the Bears from 1925-34. Grange was a 2x NFL champ and Hall of Famer who was known as "The Galloping Ghost" and "The Wheaton Iceman."
Mel Brooks always said he and the cast of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN had such a good time making the film, they could barely get through any of the takes 😂 I could watch this all day
With the White Sox holding their 83 reunion on Saturday, I have a fairly cool story from this morning.
@ChuckGarfien would get a kick out of this.
I had a customer in Kalamazoo, Michigan buy a @SoxOn35th t-shirt earlier this week. Thought it was awesome, but bold for a Tigers fan.
Anyway, talk to him this morning, tell him how the event went, and he says he can't wait to wear his shirt around town. A bit confused, I ask why.
Unbeknownst to me, former gold glove first baseman for the Sox from 1977-85 Mike Squires was born and raised in Kalamazoo, where he is considered a hero to this day.
With that, there is a nice sized pocket of White Sox fans in the area. Would've never guessed, but cool way to start my Friday.
