Congrats to Ty Hurley of the WHL's Kelowna Rockets.
Hurley is to be honoured by the Lifesaving Society of B.C. & Yukon after pulling a man who was unresponsive from a hot tub in a Strathmore, Alberta, hotel in December.
The 19-year-old Hurley performed CPR on the man until he began breathing again.
Hurley: “I felt like I had to be the one in that situation. It looked hopeless. Nothing was progressing. I felt he was stranded. I felt I had to be the one to step up.”
Bravo.

“Is the guy here that caused Kevin Hayes a problem?”
Torts is the man. Just called out the reporter who made up the Kevin Hayes rumour the other night.
The Calgary-based Travelling Jagrs met up with their hero in Kladno today, where none of them could replicate the current lid being sported by the legend.
The group is there to play several games, meet up with Jags and honour their founder, Trevor Freeman, who died this week.
@nielsonTSN1260 Woodcroft absolutely shouldn't be removed.
Dustin Schwartz on the other hand..
How the Oilers have had as many different head coaches/gms, and still the same goalie issues in the 8 or 9 seasons with the same goalie coach and still haven't replaced him is insane to me.
@northokscanner@BP_Pennypacker@Kamscan Just heard, Talking Rock golf course gone. Squilax gas station gone. Working its way along the little Shuswap north shore
My thoughts are with those in West Kelowna facing the raging wildfires threatening their homes.
Thank you to our brave firefighters doing all they can to fight these fires on the front lines, protecting our people and communities.
Tommy, since I already wrote you a long retirement message last year, this time I shall say, welcome to the 2x retired club.
You’re a legend and you always will be, my friend ♥️🏉 @TomBrady
