Club legend but this doesn’t come across well. He was 35 and already looked finished when he crashed his lambo (again) and broke both legs. It’s not as if the injury happened on the pitch & the club supported his recovery. What did he expect, a contract for life?

😤 "A lot was down to [Potter]"
😡 "They didn't give me an opportunity to say goodbye from the pitch, these are the things that really annoyed me!"
@MichailAntonio opens up on his #WHUFC exit and the anger he felt towards Graham Potter! ⚒️
I know this isn’t how social media works, but I think it’s perfectly reasonable to congratulate #Arsenal on the title win, be cool with all the celebrations, (why not?) but also point out that their football was ugly and negative. Let’s all just move on, shall we?

@JacobSteinberg It’s clearly meant to mean since the transfer window when Nuno was able to reshape the squad a little. There is no need to be so unrelentingly negative in all your West Ham reporting, you know.
Happy with this and see it as a weakening of Sullivan’s hold on the club. It appears he’s been outmanoeuvred by Kretinsky here, who seems on his way to being majority owner. Light at the end of the tunnel…

@Zonal_Marking There was a period from end of Jan to April or so when #WestHam played their best football for 2 or 3 years. But Nuno also seemed prone to strange tactical experiments (like Newcastle) which invariably cost us points in winnable games. Bit of a head scratcher, for sure.
When Nuno Espirito Santo greeted the players after overseeing his first training session, he informed James Ward-Prowse privately that he would not feature in his plans.
The board were concerned with how Nuno alienated Ward-Prowse, but felt they had to back him because he was their appointment.
Off the field, tension grew stronger between Nuno and his coaches Mark Robson, Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville and Billy Lepine.
According to multiple sources, the coach openly admitted he did not trust them.
Nuno often chose not to speak to the players during half-time and after games.
At the interval against Wolves, Robson attempted to give the players a rollicking because of the poor performance. Nuno told his assistant coach to sit down and there was a heated exchange.

He already sounds a little punchy & this is only going one way if he carries on. Personally I would not buy a ticket or pay for a PPV involving Chisora, out of respect for him. Enough is enough. I don’t feel he’s able to walk away while he sees a financial imperative to fight.
“I’ll flip the table, don’t try me with that BULLS***!” 🤬

Everytime I think we’ve been relegated there’s this little voice that tells me we’re gonna stay up and I absolutely hate it. Let me be miserable in peace.
I can’t stomach any more ‘if #Spurs do this and we do that’ stuff. Actually hope they get a point tonight so everyone can forget about the whole thing. This season has been such an ordeal. (And last season wasn’t much better.)

I like #Nuno but a back 5 with Wilson on his own up front was akin to playing with 10 men. For all his finishing prowess, CW is poor at holding the ball up / harrying defenders. That first 20 mins was on the manager. As soon as we went 4-4-2 it became an even contest.

Everyone calling for Taty and Pablo to be dropped in favour of Wlison got what they wanted.
We have all lost all energy at the top end of the pitch, stopped defending from the front and look easy to play against again, as we were at the beginning of the season.

There were found to be more VAR errors in the Premier League in the recent review.
In gameweek 35 there were three VAR errors and one on-field error that didn't meet the VAR threshold.
Confirmation. VAR is arbitrary. Trossard bear-hugs Pablo into David Raya. Then Gabriel pulls Pablo’s shirt from below. Trying to keep some balance, Pablo puts his arms out & fouls Raya. Apparently the 2 Arsenal fouls are ‘nothing’ despite happening first & causing Pablo’s foul.
🗣️ JUST IN: Referee Chris Kavanagh was left confused by VAR during a review to rule out West Ham’s equaliser against Arsenal as full audio is revealed.
“You’ve got Declan Rice and you’ve got [Leandro] Trossard,” said AVAR Akil Howson.
Kavanagh: “I don’t know what you’re trying to show me, give me a clue.”
After being asked to look at Trossard potentially shoving Pablo into Raya, Kavanagh said: “I don’t think there’s much in that at all, I’m happy with that.”
He was also asked to review a potential foul by Rice on Mavropanos, to which he replied: “But the foul happens on the goalkeeper before.”
It took four minutes and 17 seconds between Wilson firing into the back of the net and a foul being awarded, with 17 replays reviewed in the process.
