@AshuraBlazer@ComicGirlAshley Looks like Peter Parker Spider-Man by Paul Jenkins and Mark Buckingham based on the artwork. Probably 2001/2002 after JMS revealed his identity to May. Which I really wish they would have kept.
@zeefu_apx@ComicsMeta Wasn’t the ship on 426 thousands of years old? Older than David’s antics? I figure Xenomorphs were around but David put his own spin on them.
@PatrickZircher It was a pretty cool story too. I love the weird and obscure Marvel history. Using Nebulon’s race and the Oblidorator were fun choices instead of the usual alien races and cosmic big shots.

@jriddlecult @TheBurnham I guess it’s a preference thing. I’ll concede it was for sure imaginative and had its moments but with few exceptions, I didn’t like many of the villains, even Doom, before Dragon Man and Frightful Four.
@TheBurnham I know SHIELD was later. I’ll amend an example that FF wasn’t very good until the numbering got into the 30s. Early Thor was also very rough.
@TheBurnham Lee paired well with other artists and also put out a fair bit of clunkers with those two. (SHIELD stuff after the first arc for example)
Also those two with Lew were widely considered to be significantly better then anything they did without him.
@FabianNicieza @JMDeMatteis@Thirdmanmovies If my memory serves correctly, those were the DeFalco issues of Spectacular after JMD moved over to Amazing with Bagley. I personally enjoyed Sal Buscema and Bill Sienkiewicz combo but also really liked Sal inking his own pencils.
