My best friend and I were sitting in his car after dinner.

Neither of us seemed ready to go home.

He turned the music down.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"If I started dating someone, would you be jealous?"

I laughed.

"Of course not."

He stared at me.

"Really?"

"Really."

He nodded slowly.

Then I asked, "Would you be jealous if I started dating someone?"

He didn't even hesitate.

"Yes."

I stopped smiling.

"Why?"

He looked out the windshield.

"Because I'd have to watch someone else become the person you call first."

My heart sank.

"That sounds like jealousy."

"It is."

"Then why haven't you ever said anything?"

He looked at me.

"Because I didn't know if you felt the same."

I whispered, "Maybe you should've asked."...

@Cadillac Thanks for reaching out. Nick Fell and the team at Wackerli Cadillac in Idaho Falls were exceptional in trying to help us out, but someone @Hertz had apparently damaged the AC so bad (see pic) it was going to be a much longer repair than we had time for.

Update...after reaching out in a DM to @hertz they responded I should find a local place for help...gee wiz, I wish I had thought of that 4 days and 3 states ago. I've been patient, but if @hertz is this horrible I can't believe anyone would rent from them.
