The claims made by the doctors and nursing staff do not change ballistics and basic math. The ballistic information I published about the M855 (5.56 Nato) still stands (source 1).

Al Shifa Hospital
In November of 2023, the Al Shifa hospital was the center of controversy as the IDF moved in. The IDF claimed the hospital was being used by Hamas, a claim hospital staff denied:

According to a CNN article dated Nov. 11, 2023:
"Israel has accused Hamas of using hospitals as cover — a charge doctors at Shifa and the militant group deny" (Source 2).

Despite the doctors claims, the IDF found video footage of armed Hamas terrorists on the grounds of the Al Shifa hospital escorting hostages. Additionally, tunnels were uncovered on the grounds of the Al Shifa Hospital. So were the bodies of hostages. (Sources 3 and 4).

Following the IDF's withdrawal from the Nasser Hospital in April of 2024, reports of mass graves and executions on the grounds of the Al Shifa and Nasser Medical complexes began to surface with over "300 bodies" reportedly discovered (Source 6).

This time, instead of doctors confirming the reports surfacing online, they remained silent even as the UN demanded investigations (Source 7) .

I could find no record of doctors directly claiming the IDF executed people on the grounds of either hospital. I also could find no record of the doctors denying the claims. Gaza officials however said otherwise claiming Israel executed civilians (Source 6).

"The head of Nasser Hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis said 150 bodies were buried in the yard of the hospital after they started to decompose in the mortuary" (Source 8)

In Jan of 2024, long before the IDF entered Khan Younis, hospital staff stated they dug mass graves on the grounds of Al Nasser Hospital (Source 8). Despite all of this, I could find no records of doctors providing the exculpatory evidence or denying any of the reports from the Gazan Officials that Israel had murdered civilians on the grounds of either hospital.

Do your own research. The doctors lied. Gaza Health Officials lied. The media lies.

Personal Thoughts:

For the longest time, I struggled with my identity.

A Palestinian kid born inside Israel. Like…wtf.

Many of my friends refuse to this day to say the word “Israel” and call themselves “Palestinian” only.

But since I was 12, that did not make sense to me.

So I decided to mix the two and become a “Palestinian-Israeli”

I thought this term reflected who I was.
Palestinian first. Israeli second.

But after recent events, I started to think.
And think.
And think.
And then my thoughts turned to anger.

I realized that if Israel were to be “invaded” like that again, we would not be safe. To a terrorist invading Israel, all citizens are targets.

900 Israelis died so far. More than 40 of them are Arabs. Killed by other Arabs. And even 2 Thai people died too.

And I do not want to live under a Palestinian government.

Which means I only have one home, even if I’m not Jewish:

Israel.

That’s where all my family lives. That’s where I grew up. That’s the country I want to see continue to exist so I can exist.

Palestine should exist too as an independent state. And I hope to see the country thrive and become less extreme and more prosperous. I love Palestine and have invested in Palestine.

But it’s not my home.

So from today forward,
I view myself as an “Israeli-Palestinian”.

Israeli first.
Palestinian second.

Sometimes it takes a shock like this to see so clearly.
