A project for locking BTC for a specific time frame held a contest
Can a Smart Contract Gift be recovered using only the 12 recovery words if they no longer exists?
The catch: everyone got handed the same seed phrase and had to plug it into a wallet to unlock their prize
Except it wasn't mine, it was shared with hundreds of randoms, all racing to sweep the same wallet at the same time.
I got in, tried to transfer out. So did everyone else.
Only one transaction can actually confirm on a shared wallet like that, so it turned into a RBF war. Bitcoin lets you rebroadcast a pending tx with a higher fee to jump the queue. Every time someone bumped their fee, everyone else had to bump theirs too just to stay in the race
My tx never confirmed
Someone finally won after paying enough in fees to get mined first
Prize pool: 100,000 sats ~$64
The actual payout after fees: $0.60
99% of the prize got eaten by the fee war before it even reached a wallet😭
We're paying $125 to hear your worst payout story.
Sent USDC someone couldn't cash out? Waited 3 weeks for a $40 prize? Lost half a payment to fees? Quote this post with what happened.

I Tested http://LetsExchange(.)io and http://Edge(.)app Here's My Honest Review
I spent some time going through both of these crypto sites and wanted to share what stood out, what bugged me, and what I think would make each one better.
Simple breakdown below 👇
@letsexchange_io (Crypto Exchange)
What impressed me:
They support over 6,000 coins, way more than most competitors, and they actually show a chart proving it instead of just claiming it
Tons of real reviews from Trustpilot, G2, and other trusted review sites (4.7 stars), not just cherry picked quotes
The homepage feels "alive", live prices, top gainers/losers, and trending swap pairs right there
What frustrated me:
The page is really long. You scroll through reviews, partner logos, market stats, and press mentions before you even get to the actual tool
There are THREE different review sections back to back, felt repetitive instead of convincing
You don't see the actual swap tool (enter currency, see your rate) on the homepage, you have to click into another page to start swapping
What would make it better:
Put the swap box (pick your coins, see the rate) right at the top, front and center, that's the whole reason people visit
Cut the reviews down to one section instead of three
Show estimated fees earlier, so people know what they're getting before they commit
@EdgeWallet (Crypto Wallet)
What impressed me:
Dead simple pitch: just a username and password, no scary "seed phrase" to lose or mess up
They show exactly how they're different from other wallets in a clean side by side comparison
Security details actually feel real, not just marketing buzzwords, including a cool "Duress Mode" feature where a backup PIN unlocks a fake/decoy account to protect your real funds if you're ever forced to unlock your phone
What frustrated me:
Their stats section (accounts created, assets supported, etc.) just shows "+0", looks broken or like it never loaded properly
No real screenshots of the actual app, I couldn't tell what using Edge day to day actually looks like
Like LetsExchange, you can't try anything on the website itself, everything pushes you to download the app
What would make it better:
Fix those broken "+0" stat counters, right now they actually hurt trust instead of building it
Add real screenshots or a quick walkthrough of the app
A simple "how it works" visual (type username + password → your stuff syncs everywhere) would make the pitch land even harder
Final Thoughts
Both sites do a good job building trust with real numbers and reviews, but neither one lets you actually try the product without leaving the page, LetsExchange sends you to a separate swap page, and Edge sends you straight to an app download.
Fixing that one thing on both would go a long way.
I feel enlightened in some kind of way
ion know if I got expose to some chemical reaction or sumn
or maybe I got bit by a spider
but the kind of things that go through this head of mine is making so much sense these days
I've become less dumb in some kind of way!
