Mark from Belfast just called it what it is on @BenKentish@LBC:
“30 women were murdered… not one road was closed, not one protest.
What was the connection? They were murdered by white locals.”
One stabbing by a Sudanese man and the whole place is engulfed with riots, fires, attacks on Whites, Black & Brown people across Belfast.
Years of local white men killing women nothing.
Undiluted racism. He is not the only local to have said this! Who is behind this violence? 👇 #BelfastRiots #CallItWhatItIs
Absolutely astonishing that there has been a two day racist pogrom in Northern Ireland and @Keir_Starmer hasn’t called a COBRA meeting.
QWHITE revealing!
Why does the British right still not grasp facial recognition or the rules around filming at protests?
Young Bob (Thomas Moffitt)'s videos are being credited as a key factor for identifying people from the Southampton protests. This video was literally played in court.
21 people charged so far. Lowest sentence 2 years prison.
If you are in the protest, the priority is to capture police transgressions/violence—not unedited footage of other protesters.
JARED KUSHNER JUST BUILT THE EXACT LIST OF THINGS HE WILL LOSE IF ALBANIA'S PROTESTS DON'T STOP
Not vague threats. Not "we'll reconsider." NAMED ASSETS. SPECIFIC LOCATIONS. Project by project.
🇦🇱 Sazan Island — $1,400,000,000–$1,600,000,000 luxury resort on a former communist military base → now surrounded by 11 days of mass protests
🇦🇱 Zvërnec coastal plots — ecologically protected wetlands tied to Ivanka Trump → endangered flamingos, monk seals, and a protest movement named after them (#FlamingoRevolution)
🇦🇱 Tirana streets — largest demonstration yet recorded on Day 11, June 10, 2026 → thousands marching, police clashes, banners reading "Edi Rama resign"
🇦🇱 Albanian PM Edi Rama's political cover — his quote: "There is no chance for this investment to stop as long as I am here" → now facing active resignation demands
🇦🇱 Albania's EU accession timeline — Brussels issued a formal warning on June 9, 2026 to "act without delay" → refrain from actions undermining EU candidacy due to environmental violations
🇦🇱 Bilateral U.S.-Albania optics — a Kushner-linked $1.5B deal on protected Adriatic coast → now generating international media scrutiny during Trump's second term
🇦🇱 Project construction timeline — barbed wire went up in spring 2026 → triggered the backlash that is now 11 days old and growing
🇦🇱 Affinity Partners' foreign-deal credibility — Kushner's firm is the lead investor → every day of protests adds to the public record attached to this project
🇦🇱 The deal itself — PM Rama offered protesters "discussions on solutions" → they rejected it
🇦🇱 The broader investment climate — one $1.5B project on ecologically sensitive land + EU warning + 11 days of mass protests = measurable risk to Albania's investment story
💀 11 days of sustained demonstrations
💀 EU formal warning issued to Albanian government
💀 Largest single protest recorded on Day 11
💀 ZERO signs of the government reversing course
Every asset on this list sits inside a country that is now one escalation away from a genuine political crisis.
Kushner's 11-day standoff is still running. These are the stakes at DAY 11.
Follow and turn on notifications before it's too late.
I spoke to @BBCRadio4 about some of the ways UK charities are funnelling money to illegal Israeli settlements - and getting taxpayer subsidies for doing so.
This must end now; the @ChtyCommission have to act.
"Let's call this what it is. That isn't protest, that is.... organised, racialised attacks."
Labour MP Calvin Bailey on the disorder in Belfast.
#Newsnight
Whether its Palantir or anyone else, I would argue that Mark Rowley's insistence that achieving his primary aim of keeping Londoners safe rides entirely on access to one company's software reflects quite badly on him.
🚨 Thousands Of Albanians Are Marching Against The Trump Family.
Not in New York.
Not in Washington.
In Albania.
The protests are aimed at a planned luxury resort project backed by Jared Kushner.
First came the deal.
Then came the outrage.
Now thousands are in the streets for the tenth straight day.
Local development fights don’t usually turn into national protest movements.
This one has.
I’ve signed this letter.
I have seen for myself the rapid expansion of illegal settlements - whole towns of occupation - in the West Bank forcing out Palestinians.
Tough words haven’t worked. Trade with illegal Israeli settlements must be banned.
MPs could vote to ban soldiers in the Israel Defence Forces from entering the UK.
Jeremy Corbyn has tabled an amendment to the Armed Forces Bill to ban the entry of foreign soldiers from countries that are subject to war crimes investigations.
