“Then fucking talk to someone.” He bites back, removing his hand as he took a step away. He wanted to allow her to regain her space back, her control back.
“Talk to Thoirt, talk to Violet.” He suggests, arms now folded over his chest.
“You will snap and you will regret it.”
"stop. saying. that." she enunciated each word, drawing out the emotions boiling inside. she hated him. she hated violet. she hated dain. she hated liam. she didn't know if there way anyone safe.
she stiffens at his words, his touch, blue eyes shooting back to meet his again. +
“Touché.” He rolls his eyes, a hand reaching into his flight jacket before pulling out a single cigarette and a lighter.
“The fewer people the better.Something, I’m assuming,we can both agree on?” He stuck the cigarette between his lips, lighting the end and taking a long drag.
"Look who's talking."
She retorted, herself observing him. She was fully dressed, yes.
Only because she knew she wouldn't be sleeping, and she wouldn’t leave her room without these clothes.
She was there to be alone, and usually she could. Not tonight, she guessed.

-, kept calm.
With the shadows now dispersed, he gave a gentle squeeze to Sloane’s shoulder.
“Do what you must to release this anger, but one thing is for sure. If you keep holding onto it, a death will be your fault.”
“You couldn’t do anything.” He repeats, a firm hand now grasped her shoulder.
“He’s dead and it is not your fault, he’s dead and he can’t come back.” God, he hated that statement. Xaden’s own anger could have swelled to the surface due to the reminder, but he kept his composure-

she warns herself, feeling her anger bubbling to the surface, nearing its breaking point. how much trouble would she get for decking a lieutenant?
"nothing!" she screams at him, all emotion and senses dulled by the flames of rage consuming her. "i couldn't +
“And what can /you/ do about it?”
Another stab at the cadet, seeing just how far he had to push.
He stepped closer, darkness beginning to engulf the ground.
“He’s gone.”
her breath caught in her throat and she had to look away before breaking. sorrow clawed at her throat like an angry dragon, raking daggers down the vulnerable flesh.

her arms crossed over her chest. what would appear as indifference was an unconscious +
-to make sure you would be yelling at him instead of me.” Xaden admitted, his smirk quick to falter as an expression of guilt was faintly etched to his features.
“You are entitled to these emotions, but you also need to let the raging sadness go.”
A smirk, a smirk to exploit the anger that had engulfed the young cadet since she stepped foot upon the parapet.
This had to be released in a control environment, before it killed them all…
“Trust me, if roles could be reversed I would do everything in my power-

anger tore through her as if a match had been lit and her skin had been set ablaze. tears pricked at the corner of her eyes but she fought to keep that part of herself down.

Now he watched her unfold before him, a hint of pity behind his eyes before it was washed away once again with a blank expression.
He knew she never wanted the pity or comparison people often shedded her way.
“Go on.” He urged, a faint smirk now tugged to his lips.

she swallows, trying everything to stifle the grief that threatened to break her every single day since she heard about her brother.
if she's not sad, she's 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺.
"fine." blue eyes stare up at him, narrowing. "it's not 𝘩𝘦𝘳 i blame. it's you."
“A public space sure, but at two in the morning?” He points out, observing her person for a moment.
He took note of the fact she was fully clothed down to the boots.
Lucyanne being scared of him would never be a thing.
She didn’t step back, looked at him. Her face was neutral.
"In a public space? I don't think you own it. I'm here because I want to and I can."
Xaden’s gaze locked onto @lucyannews as he stepped closer, his voice dropping to a quiet warning.
“You’re Violet’s sister, so I’ll give you one chance to tell me why you’re here.”
Honestly it’s both a blessing and a curse. The broodiness doesn’t exactly come from being forced here, instead it’s just who I am as a person.
I wouldn’t change being my past for anything, it’s helped open up my eyes.
People have different ways to deal with their shit. I'm not here by choice either, and the reason behind it is also ridiculous.
I am sorry that you're here like this. But life has to move on, letting those who did that see you affected by it, it's giving them what they want.
‘What’s another trip down memory lane? Or, you can make your whereabouts known. I’ll let your own imagination guide you into what can happen then.’
He definitely has his own smirk brewing.
