Happy Good Friday everyone. Somehow I find myself in the Office writing a tender, coffee in one hand and a Koeksister in the other...and even better, I made them myself! So instead of paying ยฃ2 for 1, I made 3 dozen last night and they should last the weekend, if I pace myself.
@ANeckid I was walking around the perimeter of a cemetery (as I like to do) on my way to a construction site and just happened to notice these very colourful graves looking a bit out of place amongst the old headstones. It was a complete Kray plot with 4-5 Kray family members.
Why do "visitors" to London always have conversations on their mobiles, with the speaker on, at the top of their voices? I am the only other person in the carriage, and she has been going for 20 minutes without taking a breath. Basic etiquette...learn it!
Advice needed.
I have a provisionally scheduled meeting tomorrow at 11am with a new client. It was made clear, by the client, that it depends on all delegates being available, but I have not yet had confirmation and they are not responding to emails or calls. It is a two hour drive first thing in the morning. Would you still go, or wait for confirmation?
Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to the first of April! This one was definitely one of my favourite April Fools jokes of the day...or at least I hope it is a joke. With Milliband you never know.
I think I have just made a terrible mistake. I have been invited by one of my staff for a BBQ on Saturday. Not having had one for months due to UK bad weather, I immediately accepted. I have just been informed by my PA that it is a vegan BBQ! What the ell is a Vegan BBQ and what do I take?! I need to find a get out excuse and quick!
@AfricanDream01 Corn on the Cob I can do, I however prefer my steaks a little less cauliflowery...I have a feeling they are probably going to cook Vegan Burgers and sausages, and the last time I had one of those it was not too bad. I just dont think it should be done on a BBQ.
Dont get me started on Eno's! Went to a Texas BBQ place a few weeks ago, and being used to a soft British mainly chicken diet, I really did not feel well afterwards. I scoured the whole of London for Enos, because I knew it was the only thing that's going to work. After driving around for a couple of hours I went home in defeat. (Not a product thats easy to find in the UK). Walked into the corner shop next to my flat to get a bottle of water and what do I see...Enos behind the counter. I could not believe it!
