"THE BULL OF AUCKLAND"
A Kenyan political story.
Imagine being one of the most feared and untouchable billionaires in Kenyan history, only to have your entire legacy disrupted by a hotel chambermaid half a world away.
In November 1995, Kenya’s ultra-powerful Cabinet Minister, Nicholas Biwott, traveled to New Zealand with President Daniel arap Moi’s entourage for a major Commonwealth summit. Biwott was a man obsessed with safety; back home, he constantly dodged imaginary assassin plots, changed cars mid-journey, and famously refused to carry a mobile phone because he feared his own shadow. Yet, ironic as it is, he couldn't even survive a standard morning room service.
While staying in the city of Auckland, a hotel housekeeper entered his room to clean, and Biwott allegedly indecently exposed himself to her. The traumatized worker fled and immediately called the police. To prevent a massive international diplomatic disaster, New Zealand authorities swiftly and quietly expelled the powerful minister from the country.
Here is the twist: Biwott had proudly nicknamed himself "The Total Man" on the floor of the Kenyan Parliament to project absolute masculinity and power. However, back in Kenya, sharp-tongued opposition MP James Orengo used the foreign scandal to completely hijack Biwott's rebranding. During a heated parliamentary debate, Orengo cheekily referred to him as "The Bull of Auckland." The phrase stuck instantly, turning Biwott's hyper-masculine ego into a permanent national joke.
Kenyan political history is full of these wild, unfiltered nicknames. Aside from the "Total Man" and the "Bull of Auckland," which classic Kenyan politician's moniker do you think has the funniest or most chaotic backstory?
@RodgersKipembe Instead 'Ask What was Ruto supposed to do(immediately after 2022 elections) differently to win 2nd term votes"?
Ans: Not to over tax, Not to abduct, not to suppress freedoms, not to create goons, fight corruption, deliver promises.
Now it really late in the day
🚨 Crisis at the port! KRA's 300% customs tax hike threatens small consolidators. Sh3.5M–10M per 40ft container means CBM prices skyrocket, forcing traders to freeze clearance.

If Ruto seriously wants to create Mt. Kenya East, he should start with Dualling the Makutano- Mwea- Embu- Meru Road before elections from where Uhuru left.
Hatutamfunza kila kitu.😂😂
Traders stranded! KRA's 300% customs hike hits small consolidators hard. A 40ft container now taxed at Sh3.5M–10M, sending CBM prices through the roof and halting cargo clearance.

A while back president Ruto promised all chiefs and their assistants laptops and Ipads within 6 months.
Are there chiefs on this streets to confirm if they got them?
