I swim at a local gym that has a small, open women's locker room - no cubicles even for the showers. There's no way to be modest. There's a separate 'family' locker rm with cubicles that people can use.
A post-op TiM just joined. There's a sign on the locker room doors that reads "You're welcome to use the locker room that fits your gender identity", so nothing we can do. I honestly don't think he realizes that we can all tell he's a man.
The women I swim with and I have gotten to be such good friends that we gave ourselves a group name (one of the women made shirts for everyone) and we meet outside of the pool for birthday and holiday parties and lunches, etc. We have never included any of the men from the pool. Day one, one of the women tells the TiM about our group and he declares "Maybe I can join!" Awkward silence from everyone else.
I hate that this is probably going to end up tearing our group, which has been a real source of joy and friendship for me, apart. I so resent this guy for shoving his way into a group that he doesn't belong in, and I'm angry at the woman who stupidly told him about it, too.
