Be Sam Presti:
>> Join San Antonio Spurs as video intern at 22 (2000)
>> Front office prodigy and go Seattle/OKC Thunder as GM at 29 (2007)
>> All-time draft run: KD (2007), Russ (2008), Ibaka (2008), Harden (2009)
>> Build 2nd youngest Finals team ever (2012)
>> Ownership cheaps out and trades Harden (2012), Gut-punch loss to GS (2016), KD leaves to GS (2016)
>> Trade Ibaka for Oladipo and draft rights to Sabonis (2016)
>> Get MVP Russ a running mate and trade Oladipo/Sabonis for PG13 (2017)
>> First-round outs, “OKC is cooked", “Just tank”, “Presti should bail” (2018-2019)
>> Trade Russ and PG13, then get back SGA and a million picks (2019)
>> Bring in CP3 to mentor SGA (2019)
>> Hire Mark Daigneault and reset culture (2020)
>> Another incredible draft run: Giddey (2021), JDub (2022), Chet (2022)
>> Trader Giddey for Caruso (2024)
>> SGA MVP and again 2nd youngest Finals team ever 13 years later (2025)
>> Beat Indy to win Championships with the organization you joined 18 years ago (2025)
>> Now 47 and OKC still got a million picks (and have the OG Nick “Mr Thunder” Collison working with you in front office)
I don't see the value of heavy social media for local service businesses. Most don’t need a flashy or active presence to thrive—plenty are doing 6–7 figures without it.
That said, having zero presence is a miss. A simple page with contact info or booking details goes a long way. It’s basically a digital business card. (Retail, storefronts, or seasonal food spots? Whole different story.)
