Adding further context to my comment about the Oct-Nov yield reduction in U.S. #soybeans:

The 1.4 bushel decrease is the largest for Oct-Nov since at least 1993. By percent (-2.6%), it is the largest Oct-Nov reduction since 1993 (-3.0%).

Quick report reaction: U.S. soy yield falling below all trade guesses was indeed on my radar, but I didn't know we'd see the largest Oct-Nov yield reduction in 30+ years. Suppose the dry finish did matter. But ending stocks are still ample even with the smaller crop.

1. This adds to the evidence that if the Aug-Sep USDA corn yield revision is up, there is a high chance that follow on revisions will also be up. I will not be surprised if there are further small upward revisions by the time we get to January.
