Thank you to my mentor, @berkeleydoc@UCLAGIHep, and IBDJ @CrohnsColitisFn for this wonderful opportunity!! Food Insecurity is persistent and prevalent among the IBD population since 2015; consider screening patients for FI using short screening tools.

Our study — in @IBDJournals— found that 13.48% of adults w/#IBD in the USA have food insecurity, compared w/8.96% of adults w/o IBD. Screening for food insecurity must take place before making diet recommendations, so interventions are accessible.
