ONLINE NOW: McElvaney et al present the results of a randomized trial of alpha-1 antitrypsin for patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to COVID-19. Circulating IL-6 and other pro-inflammatory markers were decreased at one week in the treatment group.
