Here’s the thing, no one cares about solo hits, the fact Kesha’s name is attached to enough songs for you to care is telling of that.
Timber
Tik Tok
Right Round
are all out streaming Harley’s in Hawaii
But let’s focus on the present, that’s a better place to determine longevity,
Kesha – "JOYRIDE": Averaging approximately 75,000 to 78,000 streams per day.
Katy Perry – "Woman’s World": Averaging approximately 24,000 to 27,000 streams per day.
Katy has full label backing and had a perfect career for a long time, Kesha was fighting for her life and career from day one.
Kesha chose less popularity at the cost of being free from her chains but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s one of the most successful women in pop, ever, or that she has a stable, cult like following. Her releases are stable, Katy may have more streams but her releases are dropping at a sharper rate, again she has full label backing, meanwhile, Kesha is funding everything herself.
Also the fact you guys constantly compare Katy and Kesha is proof they are in the same league because otherwise you wouldn’t be comparing them or feel threatened by Kesha’s success.
Maybe you should focus on more positive topics instead of pitting these women against each other because Katy’s career is in shambles because of her own personal choices yet Kesha’s was in shambles, yet growing again, because of elements outside of her control. It’s very parasocial and pathetic and shows you have little interesting stuff going on in your life.
