Excuse me while I yell “I LOVE teaching nonfiction in second grade!” at the top of my lungs. I have thoroughly enjoyed this unit! Last week, my Ss were asked to make a glossary out of the keywords that they have pulled from their nonfiction texts. So proud of my little experts!❤️
We are making the best of learning at home! I used a lesson from The Reading Strategies Book by: @JSerravallo in a small group to teach some of my students about finding their perfect reading spot! They got creative with it and came back with some pretty awesome spots!👏🏼

Today we kicked off the first few Assessment Conferences within our Character Studies Unit. We are preparing to set individualized student Reading goals during our Goal Setting Conferences. My students are LOVING diving into books with STRONG characters!📚 #Cohort2Classroom
